New Life in Syracuse

Well, so much has happened since my last post. I almost don’t know where to start.
I finished my time at News 4 in Buffalo, NY, and the great team I worked with there, in the newsroom, took me out for some fun. It was great to see everyone out of work for one last time while I was there. Here is a little video of that night:
On Monday, August 4, 2008, I started my new career at Welch Allyn in Skaneateles, NY. I have had a great first week there, just meeting everyone and really starting to learn how everything operates and slowly leading into my job focus. I really think this is going to be a great company and have already seen some great managers and management skills. I’m happy I made this decision to move jobs.
On the other hand, I have also spent my first week at Welch Allyn commuting from my parent’s house in Oneida, NY. It is about an hour drive each way and I definately don’t like a long commute to work. It has been a little difficult to find an apartment in downtown Syracuse, NY. I called just about every management company in Syracuse to find a place and I did!! I will be living in a building called The Amos in Clinton Square and I can move in in one week. I will post some photos once I get the keys.
